Hong Kong - December 16, 2008 - Li Tong Group has been authorized by the Mircosoft Corporation to be a Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher in Asia and South Pacific. Li Tong Group is eligible to pre-install Genuine Microsoft Windows XP Software Licenses on refurbished personal computers (PCs).
Under the Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher programme, Li Tong Group is authorized to install Genuine Microsoft Windows 2000©, Windows XP Standard and Professional© and Microsoft Office 2003 Standard© operating software onto refurbished PCs. A special Certificate of Authenticity (COA) is affixed to the PC after successful installation and Li Tong Group also provide a Recovery Media pack for each PC.
This programme benefits the environment by giving new life to old computers, prevents their premature disposal and encourages the re-use and recycling of computers within the Hong Kong community.
Li Tong Group evaluates and tests some old computers for suitability for inclusion in the Community Microsoft Authorized Refurbisher programme. All personal and confidential information is to be erased as per the DoD 5220-22M specification (the standard procedures and requirements for all government contractors, with regards to classified information within the United States Department of Defense).
