(28.1.2008) A hotline for local picking up for computer recycling is established: 852 - 2690 0660. Any organisation/ company/ building/ individual who have over 30 items (Desktops/ Notebooks/ Printer/ Monitor/ Scanner) can directly contract us to arrange free on-site pick up for environmental sound recycling. Our working hours are 9:30am - 6:00pm (Mon-Fri) and 9:30am - 1:30pm (Sat), Voice message can be left in non-working hours.

(12.1.2008) Li Tong is appointed by the EPD and WEEE Recycling Association to be the contractor responsible for computer recycling programme from 2008 - 2009.

(9.1.2008) Li Tong's Director signed contract with EPD's EcoPark, Li Tong shall establish a new recycling centre within 2008. State-of-the-art technology of electronics recycling shall be demonstrated in the centre.

(24.9.2007) Li Tong is one of the sponsors and speakers in Green Manufacturing Seminar hold by MEIIA, the seminar is very successful and over 300 attendances in the event. (21.9.2007) Electrical and Electronics Campaign on 17-18.9.2007, hold by the Swires' properties and Li Tong, in 4 buildings in TaiKoo Place was successfully completed, over 200 items are received and shall be environmentally recycled. Because of the good feedback, other 4 buildings shall be targeted in near future, to continuously promote that meaningful events.

(12.9.2007) Only below business need permits from EPD. Under the Waste Disposal Ordinance (WDO) in Hong Kong, any import and export of prescribed hazardous, non-recyclable and contaminated waste for whatsoever purpose; and import and export of other waste for a purpose other than recycling must be authorized by EPD through a permit.

With the exception of the import or export of uncontaminated waste in the Sixth Schedule for the purpose of reprocessing, recycling, recovery or reuse, all other waste import and export activities require valid permits issued by EPD. If we find chemical waste during recycling, we will transfer to licensed business partners to handle it.

(9.9.2007) Li Tong shall cooperate with Swire Properties to organize the Electrical and Electronics Campaign on 17-18.9.2007, parts of the Swires' properties such as TaiKoo Place shall be the starting point, the recycled values from vendors' electronics shall be donated to charity and environmental protection organizations.

(8.9.2007) New professional technology of electronics recycling are introduced, including Hamos PCB Recycling Plants, IC Shredder and UNTHA Shredding and Sorting Plants, CRT Cutting Machine (for future use). It is expected to help in process the increasingly serious electronics wastes problems in Hong Kong, by using high technology and machineries.

(26.7.2007) Li Tong awarded the HSBC Living Business as Certificates of Merit Awardees.

(5.6.2007) Li Tong cooperate with Macau Government (IACM), to hold a Electronics and Electrical Recycling Campaign, over 1200pcs of products are successfully recycled, a new way of environmental activities in Macau is developed.

(4.4.2007) Li Tong introduced HDD Degaussing Services from USA to erase the data from Customer's HDD, the HDD cannot be reused anymore. That is a very important technique to protect the confidentiality of public and commercial organizations before recycle their computers. This practice is very attractive to many organizations.

(29.12.2006) Li Tong successfully communicated our green messages to Telecom Industries in ITU Telecom World 2006 in 4-8.12.2006. Customers are glad to have a green partner to develop a long-term WEEE complying recycling solution in Hong Kong and China.
